Specifically, Beijing intends for PipeChina to develop more infrastructure and infrastructure interconnections to create a truly national natural gas pipeline network. It also expects that fair and open access to this pipeline network will increase China’s domestic and imported natural gas supplies.
The article constructs a multi-objective modeling framework for a natural gas pipeline grid based on data from the French gas pipeline network corporation 'Gaz De France,' using pipeline and compressor hydraulics. The gas pipeline grid comprises seven gas supply nodes and nineteen gas distribution centers.
The line-pack of natural gas network can improve the flexibility of the system to deal with uncertainties, and the line-pack has a significant impact on the dynamic characteristics of the natural gas network under the change of external conditions.
Designing a network of pipelines to transport gas and liquids in the energy industry generally comprises three main decisions: (a) how to connect the nodes (pipeline layout), (b) what is the pipeline diameter required for each segment, and (c) what are the flows moving along each pipeline segment during the time horizon.
